Scam Alert & Fraud Awareness

Important information for customers about unauthorized calls, fake support agents, fraudulent invoices, payment requests, impersonation, phishing, remote-access scams, and how to verify whether a communication is genuinely associated with Office Tech Care.

Effective September 17, 2026
⚠ Important Scam Alert

Fraudsters may falsely claim to represent Office Tech Care, use our business name, imitate our employees, copy our branding, send fake invoices, request payments, or contact customers by telephone, email, text message, remote-support software, social media, or other communication methods. Customers should independently verify any unexpected request before providing information, granting remote access, or making a payment.

1. Purpose of This Scam Alert

This page is provided to help customers recognize and avoid fraudulent activity involving the unauthorized use or impersonation of the Office Tech Care name, identity, services, employees, representatives, invoices, payment requests, websites, email addresses, or other business information.

The fact that a caller or sender knows your name, computer information, invoice details, previous service information, or other information does not by itself establish that the person is an authorized Office Tech Care representative.

2. Someone Claims to Be From Office Tech Care

If someone contacts you and claims to represent Office Tech Care, do not rely solely on caller ID, a telephone number, an email address, an employee name, a logo, an invoice, or information supplied by the person to determine whether the communication is genuine.

Fraudsters can imitate legitimate businesses and may use names, logos, documents, telephone numbers, email addresses, websites, or other information designed to appear authentic.

If the communication is unexpected or requests money, remote access, passwords, authentication codes, banking information, or other sensitive information, independently verify it before taking action.

3. How to Verify a Caller or Payment Request

Customers should use the following process whenever they are uncertain whether a caller, email, invoice, payment request, technical-support request, refund request, subscription request, or other communication is genuinely associated with Office Tech Care.

  1. Stop before paying. Do not make an immediate payment simply because someone says that the matter is urgent, that your computer is infected, that your service will be cancelled, or that you will lose access if payment is not made immediately.
  2. Do not rely on the contact details provided by the caller. Independently obtain Office Tech Care contact information from our official website, your existing service records, or another trusted source.
  3. Contact Office Tech Care directly. Ask whether the person, service request, invoice, payment request, or other communication can be verified.
  4. Verify the payment details. Confirm the service being purchased, invoice or order information, amount, and payment instructions before submitting payment.
  5. When in doubt, do not proceed. If a request cannot be independently verified, do not provide payment or sensitive information until you have obtained sufficient confirmation.

Official Verification & Fraud Reporting

If you receive a suspicious call or message, or someone claims to represent Office Tech Care and you are not sure whether the communication is genuine, please contact us directly before making a payment or providing access.

Suspected impersonation, fraudulent activity, fake invoices, suspicious payment requests, or unauthorized use of the Office Tech Care name may be reported to:

support@officetechcare.com

Customers may also verify communications by calling the official telephone numbers published by Office Tech Care through its official website. Do not rely solely on a telephone number supplied by an unexpected caller, text message, email, or social-media account.

4. Official Telephone Numbers

Office Tech Care's official telephone numbers are published through its official website and applicable customer-service materials.

If someone calls you and provides a telephone number that is different from the official contact information published by Office Tech Care, independently verify the number before using it.

A caller's statement that a particular number is a "direct manager number," "billing number," "security department number," or "technical department number" does not by itself establish that the number belongs to Office Tech Care.

5. Fraudulent Payment Requests

Customers should be particularly cautious when a person claiming to represent Office Tech Care requests an unexpected payment or asks the customer to change previously provided payment instructions.

Be cautious of requests involving:

  • Unexpected urgent payments.
  • Payments to a different person or business than the expected service provider.
  • Requests to send money using unusual or personal payment arrangements.
  • Requests to purchase gift cards and provide the codes.
  • Requests involving cryptocurrency or other unusual payment methods.
  • Requests to transfer funds immediately while remaining on the phone.
  • Requests to provide banking credentials or authentication codes.
  • Requests to install remote-access software solely because the caller claims there is an emergency.

6. Fake Invoices and Payment Links

Fraudulent invoices can be designed to look similar to legitimate business documents. A familiar logo, company name, invoice number, or service description does not by itself prove that an invoice originated from Office Tech Care.

Before paying an invoice or following a payment link, verify the transaction independently. If you were not expecting the invoice or the payment instructions have changed unexpectedly, contact Office Tech Care through an independently verified official channel.

7. Fake Employees and Representatives

A scammer may claim to be an employee, technician, manager, billing representative, account specialist, security specialist, or another type of Office Tech Care representative.

Customers should understand that knowing an employee's name or job title does not prove that the person contacting you is that employee.

When a communication is unexpected or suspicious, independently verify the person's identity and the reason for the contact before continuing.

8. Remote Technical-Support Scams

Customers should be cautious of unexpected callers who claim that their computer has a virus, security problem, expired license, compromised account, or other urgent technical issue.

Do not grant remote access merely because an unexpected caller claims to be from Office Tech Care. If you are uncertain, end the conversation and independently contact Office Tech Care through an official contact channel.

Customers should never provide passwords, one-time authentication codes, banking credentials, payment-card security codes, or other highly sensitive information simply because an unexpected caller requests it.

9. Email, Text Message and Phishing Scams

Fraudulent messages may attempt to imitate Office Tech Care or create the appearance of an urgent account, payment, security, renewal, refund, or technical-support issue.

Be cautious with unexpected links and attachments. Check the sender address carefully and do not assume that a message is genuine because it contains company branding or familiar information.

If a message requests payment or sensitive information, independently verify the request before clicking links or responding.

10. What Office Tech Care Will Not Ask You to Do Through an Unverified Contact

Customers should be cautious if an unexpected caller or message asks them to provide or disclose:

  • Online-banking usernames or passwords.
  • Banking PINs.
  • One-time passwords or authentication codes.
  • Full payment-card information through an ordinary support email or unsolicited message.
  • Gift-card numbers or gift-card redemption codes.
  • Cryptocurrency transfers as an emergency payment.
  • Remote access to a device without a legitimate and independently verified support reason.
  • Security credentials unrelated to the service being requested.

11. Payment Verification Is the Customer's Responsibility

Customers are responsible for independently verifying unexpected payment instructions before submitting payment.

If a customer voluntarily sends money to a fraudulent person, fraudulent website, unauthorized payment recipient, impersonator, or other third party without independently verifying the transaction, Office Tech Care may not be able to recover or reverse that payment.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Office Tech Care is not responsible for losses resulting from payments or transfers voluntarily made by a customer to an unauthorized third party that impersonated Office Tech Care, where the transaction was not authorized, initiated, processed, or controlled by Office Tech Care.

This section does not limit any rights or remedies that a customer may have under applicable law or any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

12. If You Have Already Paid a Suspected Scammer

If you believe that you have already made a payment to a fraudulent person or unauthorized recipient claiming to represent Office Tech Care, act quickly.

  • Contact your bank or payment provider immediately.
  • Ask whether the transaction can be stopped, disputed, recalled, or otherwise investigated.
  • Preserve emails, text messages, invoices, receipts, screenshots, telephone numbers, payment confirmations, and website addresses.
  • Do not send additional money to the person claiming that another payment is required to recover the first payment.
  • Report the suspected impersonation to Office Tech Care at support@officetechcare.com.
  • Where appropriate, report the incident to the relevant financial institution, payment provider, platform, or applicable law-enforcement/fraud-reporting authority.

13. What to Include When Reporting a Scam

When reporting suspected fraud or impersonation to Office Tech Care, provide as much relevant information as reasonably available.

  • Your name and preferred contact information.
  • Date and approximate time of the suspicious communication.
  • Telephone number, email address, or account used by the sender/caller.
  • Name or identity claimed by the person.
  • Invoice number, order number, ticket number, or service information, if applicable.
  • Amount requested or paid, if applicable.
  • Payment method used or requested.
  • Website or payment URL involved.
  • Screenshots or copies of relevant messages and documents.
  • Any other information that may help us understand the suspected impersonation.

14. Unauthorized Use of the Office Tech Care Name or Brand

Office Tech Care does not authorize third parties to falsely represent themselves as Office Tech Care employees, agents, representatives, technicians, billing personnel, account managers, or other authorized personnel.

If you discover a website, social-media account, email address, advertisement, invoice, telephone caller, or other communication that appears to misuse the Office Tech Care name or brand, please report the information to support@officetechcare.com.

15. Third-Party Websites and Payment Services

Office Tech Care may use or reference third-party services, payment processors, vendors, or other external platforms where appropriate. Customers should confirm that they are using the intended payment or service channel before submitting information or payment.

A third-party website or service should not be assumed to be operated by Office Tech Care merely because it displays our name, logo, service description, or other identifying information.

If you are uncertain whether a payment page or third-party service is legitimate, stop the transaction and contact Office Tech Care through an independently verified official channel.

16. No Guarantee Against Third-Party Fraud

Office Tech Care takes reasonable steps to protect its customers and business identity; however, no company can guarantee that third parties will not attempt impersonation, phishing, fraud, unauthorized use of business information, or other deceptive activity.

Customers should remain cautious when receiving unexpected communications and should independently verify unusual requests before taking action.

18. How to Contact Office Tech Care About a Suspected Scam

Report Suspected Fraud or Impersonation

If someone claims to represent Office Tech Care and you are unsure whether the person or request is legitimate, please contact us before making a payment or providing sensitive information.

Email:

support@officetechcare.com

You may also use the official telephone numbers published by Office Tech Care on its official website to verify a communication. When possible, initiate the call yourself using independently verified contact information rather than returning a call to a number supplied by a suspicious caller.

19. Important Customer Reminder

When in doubt, stop and verify.

Do not allow urgency, threats, fear of service interruption, claims of computer infection, refund promises, account warnings, or other pressure tactics to prevent you from independently verifying a request.

A legitimate customer-support matter should not require you to ignore reasonable security precautions.
